This takes down the need to scour the internet for ideas. Early Years Activity Plans User, Melissa C. This is exactly what I have been searching for! Thanks for making something so organized and easy to use. It is so easy to just put up the calendar, and glance at it for inspiration when we are in a funk." - The Activity Room Member, Rachel I have found it impossible to Google ideas from a million different sites, get organized, shop for supplies, etc. "I absolutely love that this takes all the prep work out of engaging my children. Fun and easy ones that can be put together in a moment's notice! You're awesome Jamie and I appreciate you sharing your activities and ideas!! - Melissa C. I am so grateful to have activities handed to us. There's always something new for us to discover, as well as old favorites. If you like simple, you’ll also love these activities for your kids: This would be a great before dinner, or as a 10-minute challenge for the kids to take a break from some of the craziness. I was very pleased with such a simple activity. I think electrical tape was a great choice for this activity because it kind of stretches, making it take more strength to peel off than painter’s tape would. I gave them a little tiny start at times.ĭo you know how much strengthening this does for little fingers? He needed help here and there to get them started. Using fine motor skills in this activity to peel the tape off the table.Īnd for George, I had him think a little to try to figure out which layer of tape was on the top to peel off first. The only object of the activity was to remove the tape from the table. I criss-crossed back and forth, making layers of tape. A section for George and a section for Louis. This tape peeling activity was mostly for Louis, but George wanted to do it too because he likes ‘easy activities’ (or so he says). This time, I had some colored electrical tape on hand from awhile back, so I used that. This time, I didn’t use painter’s tape, but it could be used. Setting Up Fine Motor Tape Peeling Activity It has very good reviews so I'm hoping that'll help with bed adhesion for the PETG and break away freely once printed.Įdit: See my other comment about painters tape and PETG, it's a pain and only works reliably with a raft.Find 30 materials that promote fine motor skills here. I also ordered Layerneer's Bed Weld to try using with the smooth side of the bed glass. Hopefully I'm right on that, I'll find out soon enough lol. So putting painters tape down would just mean that you have to re-create the mesh for levelness, not adjust the z-offset. I'm also getting a BL Touch this week, my understand is that the z-offset is the height difference between the tip of the bltouch and the depth of the nozzle from the hot end. The adhesion was way strong than PLA, rarely do I need to use any tools to get PLA up, I did with the PETG. I haven't gotten it totally dialed in yet, I had success when using a raft which was needed anyways for what I was printing. I can report the painters tape does work really well, just need to really slow down the speed that the nozzle moves at. I just got some PETG too and was also worried about putting it directly on the glass bed because I've read the horror stories of it fusing to the surface. My largest PETG print was a parts bin that covered nearly the entire X-Y build area, and it slide right off the surface once cooled. I print 95% of my stuff with PETG, and it was scary to try to print directly on the build plate the first time, but I don't think I'd use any other surface now. As the build plate cools off, you'll actually hear popping sounds like ice cracking, which is the part and build surface letting go of each other. If it gets all the way to room temp and doesn't separate, 10min in the freezer will fix that (build plate and part). Once the print is done, let the bed cool below 40C, and the print will pop off. I would not suggest letting the bed temp cool to offset chances of warping. 80-85C for bed temp, too cold will cause first layer adhesion problems. Make sure the bed is cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and paper towels until no yellow color is seen to get the first layer adhesion. With the V2 glass bed, on the textured side, no issue with PETG directly on it, no tape required.
